We can see the first known recorded séance in scripture if we follow the story of Samuel and Saul. There were mediums, necromancy, divination, Séances and more happening in the Bible. There’s nothing new under the sun and witchcraft adopts a new wrapping paper to market itself to the new generation — every generation. 1 Samuel 28:7-15 KJV
A familiar spirit came forth and masqueraded around like if he was really Samuel.

Known as Seance this practice is terribly dangerous and pulls on the heart strings of believers and non-believers alike. One of the branches of witchcraft is knowledge and it is one of the most tempting to our fallen nature. The questions surrounding life and death seem to plague all of us at some point in life and some more than others. Where did my mom go? Is she okay? Did she know I loved her? Can I apologize to her I never got to. All these reasons and more people seek out to speak to the dead even for trivial matters such as lottery ticket numbers or for guidance in their life. Satan monopolizes these emotions and sells them a Pipe dream.

When I think of the word “séance”, It makes me think of times when I was a paranormal investigator, and our investigation team would sit around a table, in a dark room, with candles lit, and everyone holding hands, singing songs to attract/appease the spirits, and once contact was made with the spirits, we would ask the spirits questions, while we all eagerly awaited responses, which would come by way of a simple knock, or a tap on the table, or in some cases, the table would actually levitate and rock back and forth on its own.
*It “appeared” to be on its own, but later I found that in reality, it was a demonic force that was responding and moving the table.
Largely Paranormal tv shows contacting the dead have begun to explode in numbers. On air there is at-least 50 paranormal shows that deal with contacting the spiritual world. Our kids are beginning to do this as well and it’s no surprise when Ouija Boards are sold as Toys.
Testimony of an ex Witch Ghost Hunter
My Testimony and Experience with Séance:
Those of you who have watched my testimony know that I dabbled in witchcraft and the occult for about two years before Jesus set me free. I was deceived and like most believed I was a light worker and was doing Gods will. I believed I was a good guy and I believed to truly be helping people with my “God given gifts”. This is the common theme you hear from 90% of those who practice some form of witchcraft. I’d teach my friends Tarot Card Reading and I was spiritually in contact with 7 “Spirit Guides” which later I found out where demonic entities. I used to think that the only people who experienced evil dealing in the world that I lived in where those who just didn’t know what they were doing. They weren’t high ranking or knowledgeable and they just did something wrong. The assumption for most in witchcraft is that it can be used for good or evil depending on you and that’s the biggest lie ever told. There is only evil in witchcraft they just don’t know that the source of their power is strictly demonic. None the less I was ignorantly into my craft and one day we got into a Séance. We attempted to contact a spiritual higher spirit of a living person (another form of Séance; Séance is not just speaking to the dead). We took every precaution, we followed every rule, we studied every protection spell, we formed circles, used crystals, chants, spells and protection candles. We did everything to make sure we only received positive results. No matter how much effort we put into it and only expected positive results we still ended up having demons come through and speak to us. Remember that at the time I still believed this practice could be good or bad and not just one side of the coin. We “dealt” with the demons according to the rules of using the board and closed the doors we opened as we went along the way. That night was never the same after watching the person whom I was with eyes go black and voice deepen as if she were possessed. We also had a safety word and we should’ve stopped here but we continued. That night after achieving success in receiving the information we wanted, we closed everything and went to bed. Around 3am we woke up to a deep smoke in the room to us it looked like maybe we left a spark in the sage we used for cleansing. Seems like it just burned all night and the room was so thick in smoke that we couldn’t see each other although we were sleeping in the same bed side by side. Unlike the other person I could feel as if something nasty was running around in the smoke and it made me very uneasy but we managed to air out the room after a few hours. Long story short and you can watch my testimony for the details the next day I ended up having my body half possessed. What I know now is the Lord only allowed that entity to control half my body and as I cried out to Jesus that night the Lord saved me and opened my eyes to all my wicked ways.

Your family members are not speaking to you. Your grandma isn’t sending you messages. No where in the Bible do humans die and turn into angels or are assigned to protect you. There is no contacting the dead and as someone who used to do this for people I’m letting you know now demons love pretending they’re your family members in order to defile and deceive you. The same goes for tarot cards, Angel numbers, astrology chart readings, etc. All of these are operated by demonic spirits, satanic angels. It is a familiar spirit familiar with your family member and so it seems as if you are really speaking to your mom, your dad, your sibling, someone you miss dearly and loved. It’s a lie and Satan is terribly cruel to play this game on you. It’s one of the most unspoken about requests of humanity is to be able to say one last word, know one last thing, hear that voice one last time, connect with a loved one once again, and it’s a cruel game which is only meant to hurt you in the long run. The dead are dead and the living souls return to God. Even dreams you have of these deceased family members are not them visiting you and if you ever physically see that deceased person in real life like in your bedroom you better start calling on Jesus cause that’s a whole demon!!
I know you want that to actually BE your ACTUAL father, your grandmother, your child even. I know you want it to be them so bad in your dreams but it’s not. Dreams either are from God or Satan. The people in your dreams are never the actual person regardless. What about when you dream of someone alive is it then in your dreams for real or is it a dream of them? The only time we believe that it’s the actual person visiting our dreams is when we are blinded by grief enough to forget that it is a dream and the people in it are not the actual people. God can show you something about someone in a dream, God can speak to you in dreams but so can Satan demonically attack you in them. For example sleep paralysis is a demonic attack but that’s another conversation. If I have a dream of my mom that’s not literally my mom in the dream and either God wants to tell me something about my mom or it’s a demon pretending to be her but it’s NEVER actually her. The same goes for those who have lost their life — they are not visiting you in dreams and if their likeness ever appears physically please rebuke that spirit in Jesus name and watch how it leaves or exposes itself.
As sensitive as you may be about this topic my goal isn’t to hurt you, it’s to preach the Gospel. You might think I’m being judgmental but This is simply me believing in the word of my God and sharing it. If it goes against what you believe well that’s why we are allowed to live different lives and disagree with each other but I hope just one person listens. The goal is always just one person.
